Metanoia Project is a Catholic Charity for the New Evangelisation ministering to people of all ages, proclaiming the Word and serving the poor in the Preston area and beyond. We work alongside local Schools, Parishes and people in order to further our vision and fulfil our aim of supporting and growing the local Church. Our outreach within St Wilfrid’s

BeOne Adult Faith Formation:

Meeting weekly on Thursday evenings 7.30-9.30pm in the Parish Centre.

We explore the Catholic faith in a variety of ways including Bible Study, Guest speakers, DVD based series, and Lectio Divina. Keep an eye out in the newsletter and on our website for what is currently happening. You don’t have to have any level of previous formation to join in, just a heart open for the Lord. All welcome!

Wednesday Drop-In:

Every Wednesday 6.30-8.00pm in the Narthex
A weekly drop-in where we provide clothes, shoes, sleeping bags, toiletries etc to anyone in need. We also spend time listening and chatting with those who attend in order to share the Father’s love with them. If you have any spare toiletries, sleeping bags or clothes, particularly men’s t-shirts, jeans, tracksuit bottoms and trainers then please leave them in the box in the narthex.

The second Sunday of each month (generally), we lead the Music at the 4.30pm Mass, aiming to help people enter into each part of the Liturgy. We use contemporary worship songs as well as more traditional hymns, with a small group of dedicated musicians and singers and a variety of instruments.

DOXA: glory, dignity, honour

Monthly Fridays 7 – 9pm in Church
Adoration with Praise and Worship. Come and spend some time before the Lord, singing His praise, sharing your heart in worship and listening to Him in the silence. Open to people of all ages – come and join us!
